Carved Wood Type Tutorial

step1:Click on the gradient tool.In the options Bar, Click onthe gradient thumnail to bring up the gradient editor.when it appears,double click on the left color stop.When the color picker appears,click on the custom button,then choose pantone 722,and click ok.Duble-click onthe right color stop;this time choose pantone 732 click ok.

step2:In the opions bar click onthe radial gradient icon.Using this tool,click-and-drag from teh center to the top of the backround layer.Go under the filter menu, under noise,and choose add nosie.Enter 12% for amount,choose gaussian, check monochromatic,and click ok.

step3:Then,go under the filter menu,under blur,and choose motion blur.Enter 33' for angle and10 for distence.Click ok.Now go under the filter menu,under sharpen,and choose unsharpen mask. Enter 500% for amount, 9.0 pixels for radius,and 1 for threshold,then click ok.

step4:Type your text.Go under the layer menu, under rasterize,and choose type to convert your type layer into a regular image layer.Now, under brush strohes,choose sprayed strokes.Type 12 for stroke lenght,& for radius, and right diagonal for direction.Click ok.

step5:Click the magic wand tool.Click once in your firstletter of your word. then go under the select menu and choose similar to select the rest of the letters.Under the select menu,choose inverse.Now, press delete to remove the little chuncl of while space.Around the letters created by the brushed strokes filter.

step6:Go under the select menu and choose inverse.Drag your text layer into the trash to delete it press apple +j to put the selected backround area up on its's own layer,In the layers palette,click once on the backrond layer.Press apple+A the [press delete.Pres apple+D to deselect.

step7:click on tthe layer text layer.Choose bevel and amboss from the layer styles menu at the bottom of the layers paltte.When the dialog box appears, increase the depth to 400% and decrease the size to 4.Increase the highlight opacity to 90%.From the left side of the layer style dialog box,Click on the word drop shadow to bring up it's options.INcrease the size to 8, lower the opacity.to50% and click ok.

step8Choose the lasso tool.Make a thin selection in the center of each letter.Rember to hold down the shift key.Press apple+c to copyadd a new layer press apple+v to paste.change the layer mode normal to color Burn.

step9Duplicate your new layer.Now duplicate your duplicated layer change the layer mode from color Burn to screen.Click on the move tool.Press the right arrow key twice the down arrow key once.

step 1: set your foregound color black.Type your text.Raterize your type layer.Put a selection around your text.Go under the select menu and choose save selection.


step 2: deselect your type.S witch your foreground color to withe.Under the edit menu choose fill.C hange the mode to multiply Go under filter menu,under blur,choose gaussian blur.Enter 2.5 pixels.

step 3:Go under the filter menu, under stylizze and choose soloarize.press shift +appple + l to run the auto levels.Duplicate layer.

step 4: filter menu, under distort,choose polar coordinates.choose polar to rectangular.

step 5: Go under the image menu,under rotate canvas,coose 90'cw.Invert your image(Apple+I).Filter menu, choose stylize,choose wind.

step 6:In wind dialog box choose wind for mthod and from the right for direction.Run this filter 2 more times by pressimg apple+f twice.


step 7:invert your image.Run auto levels.Run the wind filter 3 more times.rotate canvas 90' ccw.filter menu,Distort,choose polar coordinates.


step 8:In polar coordinates choose to rectangular to polar.Change the layer Blend Mode from normal to screen.

step 9:create a new layer.choose a gradient.Drag your gradient through this layer.change the blend mode to color.

step 10:click on your text layer copy.Filter menu,under Blur,choose radialBlur.In dialog box choose zoom.Increase.The amount to 66.Click your original text layer.Select menu, load selection.Choose alpha 1.Change your foreground color to black.Deselect your text.

Introduction to photoshop

what is photo?

adobe photoshop is a professional image editing sofware.

about the work area.

Menu Bar: this is where you can acces most of the features and commands in photoshop.it is located at the very to of phototshop.

Options Bar: displays your tool options.It changes as different tools are selected.

Tools Bar: contain all of your tools. They are used for creating and editing images.

palettes: to monitor and modify images.There are 5 palettes by default.

satage/canvas: where the imge geing worked on will appear.

layers

The layers window shgows the various layers that your image is made up of.

selection

there are several ways to select imges or poortions of images in phototshop. here is on basic method to do so: Adding to selection and making a square.

! Use the rectangular selection tool to select the area to be worked on.

2 To add to a selcetion,Hold/shift before dragging

3 T o make the selection exactly squre, start dragging then hold shift.

4. you can press ctrl+d to deselect and remove the seltion at anytime.

08-09 School Year

My goal for this school year is to is to not start no drama although I don't start the drama but at my old school just like to talk stuff about people.I didn't accomplish that goal yet because I just started school it is going good so far I hope it continue because I don't have time for stupid stuff in fact i have real good friends.
